HARTLEPOOL

The 50,000 sq.ft. plant at Hartlepool comprises machining, assembly and fabrication operations. The specialised nature of the equipment is well suited to large and small scale series production, with a speciality in one-off and low to medium volume machined components.

The availability of integrated fabrication and machining offers significant flexibility and responsiveness for customers. This has been successfully demonstrated on a number of key supplier programmes for series components and by the repair, refurbishment and maintenance for plant and equipment provided by our mechanical engineering capability.

Examples of our work includes the series production of stainless steel plates formed into cylinders up to size 20mm x 7500mm for cryogenic liquid storage containers and the supply of time-critical thermal shield components for two power stations as part of a major upgrade programme.   

Equipment at Hartlepool includes:

Horizontal Boring - (5) with table size to 132in. x 60in up to 12 tonnes

Vertical Boring - (6) with swing of 22ft. and height of 9ft. (6.5m. x 3m.)

Plano/Milling - (3) with table size up to 25ft. x 9ft.

Milling - (5) with table size up to 60in. x 14in.

Lathes - (12) with maximum centres up to 20ft.
